1. Introduction & Overview

Slider Kit (“the App”), developed by Kashif Khan (“we”, “our”, or “us”), provides visual carousel and slider builder capabilities for Shopify merchants. We are dedicated to safeguarding the privacy and security of all merchants and their storefront visitors.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is processed, and our strict adherence to Shopify App Store data protection guidelines, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Information We Collect

Slider Kit operates under a strict principle of data minimization. We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver and customize slider functionality on your store:

• Merchant Store Identification: Your Shopify domain name (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com) to identify your installation and associate your slider settings.
• Shopify Session Tokens: Temporary, cryptographically signed App Bridge session tokens provided by Shopify to verify that configuration requests originate from authorized store staff.
• Slider Configuration Data: Settings you create inside the App (such as slide titles, subtitle text, button links, selected visual engines, and scoped CSS). This data is synchronized to Shopify Metafields on your store.
• Billing Plan Tier: Your active subscription level (Essentials Free, Pro, or Agency Plus) verified authoritatively with Shopify Billing API.

We DO NOT collect or store: Shopper personal identification, shopper payment card information, checkout credentials, customer passwords, or visitor behavioral tracking data. Slider Kit contains zero third-party advertising tracking pixels or surveillance cookies.

3. How Information Is Used

The information collected is used solely to:

• Render your configured carousels and sliders in your Shopify Theme Editor and live storefront.
• Persist your slider designs and configurations across editing sessions.
• Verify entitlement to subscription features (such as premium engines and custom CSS).
• Process theme app extension publishing via Shopify Admin APIs.

4. Data Storage, Encryption & Security

All session tokens are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption. Slider configurations are saved directly to Shopify Metafields owned by your store.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade merchant or customer data with any third party, broker, or advertising platform.

5. GDPR, CCPA & Mandatory Shopify Webhooks

Slider Kit strictly implements all mandatory Shopify privacy compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request: Because Slider Kit does not collect or store shopper personal data, no customer personal profiles are retained. When requested, we confirm zero personal records exist.
• customers/redact: Any customer data reference (if ever encountered) is purged immediately.
• shop/redact: Within 48 hours of an app uninstallation or store deletion webhook, all cached configurations and store tokens are automatically erased.

6. App Uninstallation & Data Deletion

When you uninstall Slider Kit from your Shopify admin, Shopify dispatches an app/uninstalled webhook. Upon receipt, our servers automatically purge all active sessions, token caches, and local store records. Your slider configurations stored in Shopify Metafields remain in your Shopify store unless manually deleted by you.
